Request for information
A request for information can be used to request documents or extracts from the database from RIK.
A reply to the inquiry will be sent within five working days of the working day following the date of registration of the request for information. If necessary, the holder of information has the right to extend the term for replying to up to 15 working days.
Memoranda and requests for clarification that are answered within 30 calendar days in accordance to the Response to Memoranda and Requests for Explanations and Submission of Collective Proposals Act are not considered as requests for information.
Request for clarification
A request for clarification can be used to request information from RIK, which requires analysis of information in possession of the recipient or collection of additional information.
A reply to the inquiry will be sent within 30 working days of the working day following the date of registration of the request for clarification. Taking into account the complexity level and volume of the request for clarification, the holder of information may extend the term of replying to up to two months.
Inquiry of personal data
When requesting information containing personal data with a restriction on access about you or third parties, the holder of information has to establish your identity in accordance with subsection 14 (2) of the Public Information Act. To this end, please forward a signed request for clarification. When submitting an inquiry in an electronic format, please add a (digitally) signed document as a file to the application. If you request personal data with a restriction on access about third parties, please also state the reason and purpose for accessing such information.
A reply to the inquiry will be sent within 30 working days of the working day following the date of registration of the inquiry. Taking into account the complexity level and volume of the inquiry, the holder of information may extend the term of replying to up to two months.
Memorandum
A memorandum can be used to forward information or proposals to RIK for organising the work of the authority or shaping the development of the field.
A reply to the memorandum will be sent within 30 working days of the working day following the date of registration of the memorandum. Taking into account the complexity level and volume of the memorandum, the holder of information may extend the term of replying to up to two months.
* If replying to the inquiry falls within the competence of another authority, RIK will forward it to the appropriate contact and notify you of having done so.
