The environment created by the Centre of Registers and Information Systems (RIK) for filing annual reports was announced the best entrepreneurship environment improvement project at the competition ”Acknowledge the promoter of entrepreneurship 2011”. This award guarantees entry in the European Enterprise Awards competition.

The e-annual reporting environment, created by the Estonian Centre of Registers and Information Systems for entrepreneurs to enable filing annual reports electronically, was voted the best solution of e-government category from among more than 460 projects at the global e-content contest World Summit Award 2011.

The e-Business Register now offers a new and convenient tool for getting a graphical overview of connections between legal persons registered in the Business Register and natural persons. The Visualized Business Register enables to make inquiries concerning persons related to companies so that the results are displayed as a graphical drawing.

A World Record was made by the fastest establishing of an enterprise via Internet, using the e-Commercial Register Company Registration Portal of the Centre of Registries and Information Systems of the Estonian Ministry of Justice.

Cross-border digital signature and Digital Land Register that have been developed in the Centre of Registers and Information Systems of the Ministry of Justice reached the final of the European eGovernment Awards.

In last May first company in Estonian business history was created in the Company Registration Portal with a Finnish ID card, without the founders of the company having had to leave their desks to get the company officially registered in Estonia.

This year Central Commercial Register received 54 210 annual reports. More is to come but this number includes only reports that have been filed on time.

Estonian Company Registration Portal can now be used to found companies by holders of Finnish ID cards. Holders of Portuguese, Lithuanian and Belgian ID cards have been able to use this service for some time.

Now a company can be founded in the Company Registration Portal of the Commercial Register on the Internet also with a Portuguese, Lithuanian and Belgian ID-card. Finland will be added to the list in the nearest future.

Local Tallinn based organisation, Centre of Registers and Information Systems, has received a special award from the European Commission for its innovative use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to help notaries in their work and organize electronic communication between notary and state.

RIK calls all traders to save their valuable time! File your annual report with the Commercial Register electronically via the Company Registration Portal of the Commercial Register. All you need to do is to upload the report in the portal in .txt, .pdf or .rtf format, which is not more complicated than making an attachment to your e-mail. RIK gives notice that from May 1, 2008, the existing web addresses of RIK will change on the website of RIK, electronic Land Register as well as electronic Commercial Register. The previous addresses will function on parallel basis for 6 months, and after that only the new addresses will work.

New service charge rates will apply to the users of the Commercial Register Information System from May 1, 2008. Instead of the existing 6-level differentiation of service charge rates, a new system of 3-level differentiation will be used.
